☩Character History:
Nero, born Lerowyn Aeolamar, was orphaned at age 6 after his two, poor Sidhe parents were caught in a violent conflict between two rivaling drug cartels in the slums of the Radiant Kingdom. Having no known, immediate family or acquaintances of the family, Nero had to learn how to fend for himself within the dangerous underbelly of the kingdom through observation, scavenging for food on the filth laden ridden streets and stealing whatever he could to keep himself alive when the nights got cold. It was the day he witnessed an assassination firsthand when his life changed from the stagnation of poverty to something entirely different. The assassin, instead of eliminating the child as well per the request if his employer, decided to use the opportunity to take the young and frightened Sidhe along with him. After all, recruits were in short supply and those trained up from a very young age have proven to be efficient when they get older.

Many years later, Lerowyn was given the new names Nero Luis Escajeda and Nero the Butcher by the criminal organization, Las Sombras. He spent his time moving about the Land of Stillness, carrying out hits as well as providing protection for smugglers of all manners of cargo. He enjoyed all the benefits his new occupation provided him with, proud to carry the label and the brand that his organization had given him initially. Nero had never thought about the negative impact his actions had on the people that didn't have any affiliations with nefarious groups until one hit led him to a familiar street in the slums. On the faces of those who were stuck scrapping at the bottom of the barrel he could see himself, moreso in the children. He'd been just like them at one point, a bottom feeding urchin whose salvation came in the form of a cloak and a bloody dagger.

It was after this successful assassination when Nero began to doubt if he was truly happy with what he was doing. Up until that point, it was easy to tune out the pleas and cries of those begging for mercy when he approached, but now they were haunting him. He'd realized that out of all the people he's slain to benefit him and his organization, a staggering amount of them were decidedly good people trying to make a difference, those that genuinely cared about those struggling to survive in the slums, and this set a weight on his shoulders. After reaching this epiphany, the Sidhe decided it was best that he abandon his title of The Butcher and the malicious empire that had given it to him and focus on trying to better the world instead of poisoning it with his misdeeds.

What better way to do this than to become a Guardian of Silence? Swearing a blood oath to Dark Bravery, Nero made an oath to himself that never again would he stand alongside those who sought to propagate malevolence and instead work to keep the peace in the land. He'd atone for his past transgressions by felling those with malicious intent and become a Guardian.

Nero, despite his frame and past reputation, is a relaxed and easily approachable individual.
